Hitlers Wien & Hitlers Bayreuth

Hitlers WienHitlers BayreuthBrigitte Hamann (historian) and her view on Adolf Hitler, the Wagners and the emerging racial theories in the beginning of the 20th century… it is amazing how this author has put a bottom in my thoughts about these things. For anyone who is interested in the question as to how it was possible that a man like Adolf Hitler came to power, maybe you should read one of the many other biographies on him.

But if you want to know more about the person, from the time before he came to be the politician, the dictator and the criminal warlord, and if you want to have a picture of the time frame in which he formed his political ideas, Hamann provides us with very valuable insights. I tried to read “Mein Kampf” after these books, but that piece of garbage is so badly written, that I had to toss it. Hamann gives you all you need.

One topic of interest in particular I found of special value. In this time of newly emerging anti-Semitism, her remarks on the difference between racial Judaism and religious Judaism should be mandatory reading for anyone who thinks that Jews are a race. Just to be clear on this: it’s a RELIGION!!! Not a race. You won’t find Judaism it in the human hardware, anywhere.
