I reposted this, because this book is actually more important than I thought when I first picked it up. “The Shock Doctrine” by Naomi Klein… It will anger you to the bone, if you read how terribly callous and barbarous the capitalists really are. It actually makes the blood boil and it made me – emotionally – go back to my years of “Autonomous Radical Activism”. This book might even spark exactly that again.
It’s infuriating to read how the public in some countries is milked out of its (public) wealth to the benefit of small elites who get tremendously rich. It’s appalling and it calls for a revolution, if you ask me. As I see it, the Russian Revolution was caused by an in-bridgeable divide between the poor and the – super rich – noblesse. It wouldn’t surprise me if that happened again; worldwide, against the “noblesse” of today.
Aristocracy has always deserved to be attacked and thrown over by revolution, I sincerely hope that things will go down like that yet another time. Only now, maybe, the revolutionaries will be a middle-class, tired of being sucked dry by a bunch of criminal plutocrats.
