You want to know more about the history of Colonial Africa. I have a tip for you. Read the book “The State of Africa: A History of 50 Years of Independence” by Martin Meredith.
It reads very well, but it will bring tears in your eyes. You will read about the European powers who milked out the black continent and plunged it into civil war and social disaster. Why do things not work in Africa like they do here? Will they be able to get a civil infrastructure there that is comparable to ours? Read this and you can at least take an educated guess.
